How long do Mean Girl Salon nails last?

Standard Application: If you apply your nails following our box instructions, your manicure will last up approximately 7 days. The result is dependant on external factors and how well you look after them.

Long Wear: If you would like to get more wear out of your nails (up to 21 days), use the file included to gently roughen the surface of your nails before the alcohol wipe step. Also, add some glue to both the the Mean Girl nail and your own, and wait for it to become slightly tacky before attaching them. The result is dependant on external factors and how well you look after them.

Temporary Wear: If you would like to be able to quickly pop off your Mean Girl nails as soon as you're done with them, apply only a tiny blob of glue in the centre of your nail and skip the alcohol wipe stage. This is perfect if you just want to wear your nails for a photo or a night out, but not for work in the morning.

How do I remove my Mean Girl Salon nails?

If you have applied your nails as described on the back of our box, you can normally pop your nails off yourself after a few days of wear. However, if you would like to remove your nails before they come off naturally or need a bit of extra help, below are a couple of methods.

Remove and Reuse: To remove your Mean Girl nails in a way that will preserve them for another wear, you can fill a bowl with hot water and add a dash of cuticle oil and soak. Eventually the nails will loosen and you can use a cuticle stick to push under and pop them off. If you need a little extra help, brush extra oil around your nail.

Quick Removal: You can quickly remove your nails by soaking them in warm water and acetone (nail varnish remover). This may damage your Mean Girl nails so that they cannot be reused. Please pay close attention to all health and safety warnings on your acetone bottle.

How many times can I reuse my Mean Girl nails?

You can reuse your Mean Girl Nails as many times as you like. The better you look after them the more wear you will get out of them. The usual amount of use is 4 applications.

 

Can I just wear my nails for one night at a time?

You can wear your nails for just one night. Please follow the temporary wear application method above.
